What is Wasmtime?

Wasmtime is a standalone JIT-style runtime for WebAssembly, designed for use with WebAssembly System Interface (WASI) and other WASI-inspired environments. It is part of the Bytecode Alliance, an open-source effort to create secure software foundations.
